For the hype given to the high risk for severe storms in the plains last night, the number of tornadoes and damage was lower than the previous nights under a moderate risk. One of the most exciting storm reports from last night was from Wakeeney, Kansas in Trego County.

I have seen alot of different and unusual storm reports over my years of storm chasing, but this takes the cake. The funniest quote comes from Trego County Sheriff Richard Schneider in a news story from the Wichita Eagle: "There were no reports of damage from the elephants, but winds and hail caused extensive roof damage in nearby Collyer, he said." A slight risk exists today from Missouri up through Michigan and Wisconson.
