The combination of the Ohio State men's team, the Bowling Green State University women's team, and tornadoes in New Mexico and Texas, I have not been getting much sleep. You have to love March Madness... My idea of March Madness is one that most people do not think of, but I am getting the itch to get out to the Great Plains and storm chase, so this has a BIG influence my picks in the NCAA tournament. I had to root for Kansas, (the Land of OZ) of course, but they faltered and failed to make it to the Final Four. Other great storm state entries included Florida, Texas A&M, Texas and Texas A&M CC, but the latter did not go too far. Texas A&M made it to the sweet 16, and Florida has made it to the Final Four. But you can't count out Ohio State, despite all my storm chasing in the Plains, I got one of my best tornado photos here in Ohio, which was one of TIME/LIFE magazine photos of the year in 2002. So based on the combination of storms and basketball teams, I predict a Ohio State vs Florida NCAA championship game. If you base the winner on better storm chase photos, I have shot Hurricane Floyd and others in Florida, but the massive killer tornado in Tiffin, Ohio on November 10th, 2002 is something I will never forget. Based on storms, I have to pick Ohio State to be the winner and 2007 NCAA Champions. How is that for logic??? Works for me!!!
