Noah and I drove home from Hyde Park, NY on Sunday, he did really well considering the attention span of a six-year-old and ten hours in a truck.
On Saturday, Katrina, Noah and I went into New York City and visited the Empire State Building. Noah did not want to go up at first, but I made him, he then thanked me for making him go up to the observation deck, it was a beautiful day, you could see for miles. We then went to Times Square and had lunch at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, seafood is a favorite of us all.
Noah spotted a four story Toys are Us and we spent some time in the toy heaven. We tried to get tickets to the Lion King, but it was sold out for days. Our last visit was to the M & M Mars Superstore, it is amazing how you can market a candy. We then hopped back on the train in Grand Central Terminal and headed back to Hyde Park for the night.
It was a great trip and we both had a good time seeing Katrina and the city. Katrina will be home in two weeks and will head to South Carolina with us and the rest of the family.
It is good to see how well Katrina is doing at The Culinary Institute of America. She just got an externship at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee, a high priced retreat. She is the first baking and pastry intern to ever be hired there.
