Dear President Elect Obama,
First, let me congratulate you on your hard fought victory, it was a long hard road for every politician that ran for our sacred votes. I may not agree with everything you believe in, likewise, I am sure you would not believe in everything I do. One thing I am sure we both believe in is the love of country, and hope for the future. You and I both have you children and I am sure we both want a better world left for them in the future. I hope you think through every decision you make as President. You soon will be the Leader of the free world, and everything you do will affect our future. I want to believe you are the kind of man that I could sit down with and enjoy a beer over some spirited banter sometime in the future. Please don't forget John McCain, who you defeated in this 2008 campaign, and his service to our country, and what he stood for in his long proud service to our country. Please strive to live up to his sacrifice and the moral stature he has lived for his entire life. You are inheriting your job at a screwed-up time in our history, and it will take all of your will and powers of persuasion to help us all trudge up the steep side of the hole we now are all in. I wish you all the best, please keep us all safe and don't let the bullies of the world push you around. Your election is a proud day in our country's history. The ball is in your court now, and the people you now serve will have a chance to judge your actions before this chapter is closed in the history books. Now go out and write a chapter of history we can all be proud of...
