From my M.E.S.O. chase partner Wes Carter in Tennessee from last nights 41 reported tornadoes in the South...
Thanks to Chris Howell for bringing me out of my morning haze. I Filmed a tornado form south of Murfreesboro and briefly touch down. I never saw anything like it. There were funnels competing to organize all over the place, 360 degrees around me. I didn't know it was a wall cloud until I was under it and saw all of the scud forming, rising, and spinning. The cloud bases were so low the whole storms looked like wall clouds.
But anyways, 2 people got killed and 30 were injured. This tornado hit a very populated and busy area. I don't know how or why more people weren't killed. Here are some photos I took for the paper in Murfreesboro.
