New Puppy in the House...

This week we got a new puppy, Clyde, half Chocolate Lab, half Springer Spaniel, on Google they are calling this a Spanador. This sounds like a fancy word for Mutt to me, but what the heck. We got him for free from a Lab breeder, Clyde (our other dog is a Chocolate Lab named Bonnie) was from an OOPS litter. So far the potty training is going well considering how young Clyde is, and we are crate training him at night.

Goodbye Friend...

Yesterday a longtime friend, Bill Kennedy, died of cancer. Bill will be missed by every person he pointed his camera at, and every person he worked with in the news business through the years. Bill worked at the Fremont News Messenger starting in 1980, and then moved up to the Lewiston, Maine Sun Journal with me in 1986. He then later came back to Ohio working at the Cleveland Plain Dealer until his death. Bill was a happy go lucky guy who loved his kids, music and the art of photography, he will be missed greatly.

Every July 3rd, we head to the beach and have a birthday and fireworks at my wife's Aunt and Uncle's beach off of Cedar Point Road in Sandusky. Here are some photos from last night. We also had a round of putt-putt golf in Port Clinton to start the night off.
